Winter is a time when the weather outside is cold and chilly. This is the perfect time to drink something warm or adult. This is the time for hot chocolate and apple cider. The mulled wines and the different tea drinks. But the mystery of this time is the holiday drinks, etc. Christmas punch.



What comes to mind when you think of Winter drinks. Warm apple cider, Christmas punch, hot toddys. There are hot chocolates and teas. When our bodies are chilled, we tend to want something warm to drink. Let's take a wild ride into Winter drinks.

Winter drinks are sometimes described as cozy and inviting. They are warm and cold, alcoholic and non. There are sweet, and spicy. They use different chocolates and teas. When it comes to nonalcoholic drinks in the winter, the first one that comes to mind is hot chocolate. Hot chocolate is made with warm milk(or water), mixed(melted) with different chocolates. Like dark, milk, semi sweet and white chocolate. They also sometimes come with chilis or alcohol. There is also apple cider. Apple cider is unfiltered, unsweetened apple juice. When served people usually add cinnamon sticks, and sugar. Then we come to the teas. Winter is usually a time where we see a increase in the sale and consumption of hot tea. This is when we see the English breakfast and the earl greys. For the people over 21 we have the alcoholic Winter drinks. We make hot toddys(warm water, honey and whiskey), You have spiked apple cider. This is usually served warmed with fireball. Christmas punch is another one that comes to mind. Cranberry juice, sparkling wine and orange slices put together in a bowl. Makes for a very light, very delectable drink. When it comes to winter drinks, they tend to come in different flavors and varieties but the one thing they all have in common is they will warm your spirit on a cold winter day.
